Wilson who preceded him in death March 7, 1987. During World War II he worked in an aircraft defense plant in Kansas City. He also owned and operated Ace Antique Refinishing in Calhoun and Fair Play for many years. Bob worked as a school custodian and painting contractor most of his life. He was born in Merriam, Kansas to Orval F. (Bob) Haas, 87, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of the Bolivar/Fair Play area, passed away Main Miller, Missouri. Laurel Oak Cemetery (H), Windsor, Henry Co, MO Memorial services were held Thursday, December 22, at the K-BLE Building. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Vicki and Marion Bailey of the home two sisters, Teri Haak, Clinton, and Tiffani Sue Hurd of the home his maternal grandfathers, Ronnie Lee, Denver, Colorado, and Bob Martin, Sacramento, California, and his paternal step-grandparents, Shandy and Virginia Bailey of Clinton. He was a laborer treating utility poles for the Osmose Company of Buffalo, New York. Bailey was born August 11, 1967, in Sacramento, California, and died December 18, 1994, at his home in Clinton at the age of 27. This wonderful man is now resting in the arms of Jesus, but he has left a hole in the hearts of those who loved him. His family and friends respected and admired him and he was known for his generosity, sense of humor and impeccable work ethic. He was known as a man of integrity and a faithful friend. He would postpone what he was doing and go back to his project in due time. He would spend time with anyone who stopped by to visit. His passion to be outdoors was always there. He loved creating and tinkering with metal and if it had a motor and wheels that was just a bonus. He owned many of them over the years, having built several of them himself.

His specialty was driving off the beaten path and locating little known spots of attraction. Just driving around the Hills made him very happy and he loved showing people around the back country. The Black Hills had always captured his heart and soul and he truly loved living and playing there.

In 2004, he and his wife moved to Jeffersonville, NY and in 2010 they retired to Custer, SD. He later started his own business, D & L Sandblasting and Painting, which was located at Chancellor, SD. He spent 17 years working for Maguire Iron of Tea, SD, where he welded, sandblasted and painted water towers across the Midwest region. He discovered early on what hard work was. David grew up on a family farm east of Dell Rapids. He was born on February 27, 1941, in Dell Rapids SD, to Alven and Alpha (Flaten) Haak. David Haak, 76, of Custer, SD, passed away on November 27, 2017, at his home after an extended illness.
